Nikolai Medtner piano sonatas
are performed here by a number of fine pianists, some of whom were
contemporaries of the composer and knew him well. The famous pianists, you know. I would like to point out Geoffrey Tozer, a wonderful Australian pianist, and a lovely performance by the young Italian pianist, Vincenzo Maltempo, whose subtle dynamics and delicate rubato are especially pleasing.
