Vladimir Belov was a student of Felix Blumenfeld. His fellow students included Maria Grinberg (whom he himself continued to teach after their master's death in 1931), Simon Barere and Vladimir Horowitz. Belov taught at the Moscow Conservatory and at the Kiez Conservatory. Among his students were Stanislav Neuhaus, Andrei Volkonsky and Edison Denisov.
I have only two recordings to share with you, both by his teacher. Though hardly known today, Belov was unquestioably a formidable pianist as is demonstrated by the two Blumenfeld etudes to be heard below.
